This is really nothing new more so just an expansion on existing methods. It started with Adverts and has since moved on as people found ways around it it's a process that will continue, i.e, MS create an OS - people hack it, MS creates an un-hackable OS - people find a way round it. It's the same for all technology. Which reminds me Rick, how's that S.M.A.R.T tv working for you?

@ GuiltySpark
The New Big 65 inch Smart TV is great !!!!!
The only bad part is that my spouse won't let me crank up the volume to match pre-recorded acoustical settings for different selections.
The neighbors would complain anyway if I let it rip. (Laughing)
It has had (3) auto Bios upgrades without me touching any controls. (Nice)
It's part of the Internet of GOOD things. (Laughing)
Heck, my new 2016 Toyota Camry with 7.1 Sound plus Display Panel is Built Around the iPhone 6S with an onboard IoT computer.
Makes it all most impossible to run into anything (Front, Side or Back) AND Still Heads Up Communicate with anything or anybody while driving.
I love to Manually Shift the 7 Speed automatic continuous drive transmission on TN mountain road curves.
The Positive Lock axles make you feel like you're GLUED to the turns.
You know me, always on the "Leading Edge" even in my retired years.
Hope you and yours are well for the New Year,
Rick P.
PS The Cat says; "HI ✈"

Hey Rick. Referring to the vehicular mode of transportation. Does it let you communicate with extraterrestrials ? And are you sure it says "Hi", not "こんにちは"?

@ Lighthouse,
The onboard computer helper interfaces with iPhone Siri and when the voice button is pressed on the steering wheel says "Good Morning or "Good After noon Rick, may I be of assistance ?"
Every thing from then on is Voice Controlled to include navigation, etc ...
I still like to wind the engine rpm out doing manual shifting and slide the turns on our TN mountain roads.
Have to be careful though as the car has special license plates on it.

Sorta kinda, they read, "I Want To Believe" (Smiling)
I like the way the accelerator and brake pedals are positioned for great "heal and toe" method !
