like the subject says, the update came in a few days ago and for the most part as for now everything is running perfectly ( sorry mike ) but i did have a unknown device pop up in the device manager tried to update driver but nothing was found. is there any apps that will determine what hardware it is before updating the driver to know what to look for??? John

John Usually when you open the properties and on the DETAILS tab looks at some descriptions on the pull-down you could figure it out or even Google. If you have Windows Connect Now Service enabled that can produce 'ghost' devices. Usually shows up as a phone in Devices and Printers on the Control Panel, and that might be the unknown device as well.
