Morning Kate,
What browser are you using?
I can view it ok in FF, PM and Icedragon. In IE I get sound only, no video.

Looks like it requires Flash Player, how annoying, check your FP settings in FF - always on can sometimes cause load issues.

This could merely mean that not only a browser restart was required but the OS, in your case Vista. Hopefully this will solve the problem.
One thing I did notice with vista was the continual reboot/restart for many things to actually work!!
So Kate this might be the solve, restart system after every change, let it settle for some few mins.
I think you will find this should help

This is stooopppid...when I first log onto nest ( FF ) I get the error message . so I pootle off and do some other bits, then go back click the web cam and can see the nest grr!, someone suggested using Chrome, can you give me safe link,?as search shows several and latest is in beta. and I will give it a go,please To be honest if this continues, after the weekend I may do a factory install, instead of my trusted macrium, as that is 2011 doh!! have done more recent back up end of last year but says cannot find a backup of that date. Mike you sent me a rescue disc a couple of years back, will that still work? and assume I would still choose restore from own CD/DVD???
