Good morning TGI Geeeks!
I might be a bit late responding to this thread but anyhow, I see that there isn't much activity or users visiting for help. I know the site has just started and as mentioned above it's still under construction. However, may I ask; How are you guys reaching out to the people out there who aren't familiar with the site? Do you guys have a "facebook page", LinkedIn, Twitter, etc? Now I know most if not all of you folks find facebook or other social sites not so pleasant. Before I get bashed, I am sure not encouraging any kind of self promotion but suggesting a simple way to reach out to people. I myself have a fb page where I (try to) keep it updated regularly with tips and every now and then someone messages me or asks a question on my page. Again, this is just a suggestion. If you guys already have a page I would like to help out and post some stuff!
Thanks for looking! Cheers!
Gus.

Hi Gus, You may have to ask Mike about that one, although FB/LI/Twitter etc seem to be the only way anyone takes notice of things it may prove more trouble than it's worth with not only hacking but the sheer malicious email spam that results from it. But by all means talk to Mike and LH about those things I'm sure if you wanted to add tgigeeks to your FB etc page(s) they may say 'go ahead'.

Gus, I think this is sort of a 'chicken and egg' sort of deal? Not much here in the way of 'help', not a lot of members, so why would someone try to get help here? You can't find solutions via a 'Google' search if there are none here, so why/how would people be drawn here? It does take time to build this sort of 'database' though, but it needs people asking for help. Just my take on this.

Hey there irvsp, good to see ya'.
I get your point. But then I ask myself, what was the initial purpose for creating this site?
And why would someone try to get help here? - Because you guys are here. You all have tons of experience & knowledge that you're willing to share and/or use to help others. And I know from past threads in the HTG site you're great with networking stuff!
I know this can take years to at-least have a few hundred users. But what I'm trying to say is that perhaps having a fb page to show people what you guys offer, the experience that you guys have, and above all we offer FREE help!
If I can help in any way, shape, or form I'd be glad to.
Gus
