Thanks for the post GS.

Had this on three of my W7 machines, read what it was for and, right now don't care. Checked windows update and it said windows was up to date. Didn't research it but was wondering about it so, thanks again.

Interesting thing about that link Joe, the half thats linked goes to Win 8.1 and if you add the entire link it goes to Win 7 (nothing unusual there) however, a quick comparison of the laptops on offer on both links are exactly the same just different OS's (same price though, what a con).

Neil, glad you noticed that. I didn't, the link that I thought I sent was the link I was reading. It was a link to good deals from Dell on W7. After posting, I didn't link on it and read it again. Will be sure to do that next time. As far as the prices being the same, I'm surprised they don't want more for the W7 OS. than W8, 0r 8.1.
