Windows 10: Turn On or Off Device Driver Automatic Installation in Windows 10.By default, Windows 10 will automatically search for, download and install driver updates for devices installed on the computer via Windows Update. For graphics and audio you may encounter a problem after rebooting. The update really messed up!In device driver you might find another problem....the best driver is installed. MS derived. Always have a backup driver on a separate drive / partition. All my drivers are in a folder. (I upgraded from OEM home to raw 10 Pro) so I needed this folder). Preferably you should have Windows driver updates set to DON'T! See the pics below showing the options. In some 10 versions you do not see the 2nd option There are registry 'hacks' for reg and gpedit (Group policy in Pro and Enterprise). It would be better to read this article than just posting the reg file: www.tenforums.com/tutorials/48277-enable-disable-driver-updates-windows-update-windows-10-a.htmlThere are options download .reg for Home editions and Pro editions. Each download includes an undo option.
