I recommend Paragon Migrate OS to SSD 4.0 ( Web site) if you need to clone your present OS to an SSD. I got a new computer but the BIOS is a uEFI Secure Boot enabled one. Normal 'methods' of moving to an SSD don't work. Many web posts are about problems doing so with such a BIOS and GPT drives. In the past SSD came with s/w to do this or back-up programs or Disk Manager programs would do this. I used one DM I had before when I last transferred the OS to an SSD 2 years ago, but this time it said I had to upgrade to the Pro version, $42 please. NO thanks. Researching the web it is possible to do but there are many steps to take and it isn't that easy. I'm sure there are other programs as well, but this one is 'cheap', $20USD, and it worked flawlessly.

Irv, that comes up every few months in GAOTD. I've seen it before but never KNEW I needed it. Didn't think I'd be getting a new computer, had other ways to do it as well. uEFI/Secure Boot/GPT partitions are different and older stuff doesn't support it. I don't think they've (GAOTD) have even had V4, but older ones, and V4 is the one that I needed. Last one GAOTH had was V3 I recall and although it does support uEFI/GPT but not W8.1, only W8.0...
