The 15th edition of Zoner Photo Studio has a bit of everything for everyone.
Wrapped up in a professional-looking interface that reminds us of Photoshop and Lightroom, it features support for most popular image formats, several tools for importing photos from various sources (including websites, scanners and screen captures), managing them in folders and catalogs, as well as editing them using many different types of adjustments and effects.
Backups, directory synchronization and batch processing are just some of its notable features. Plus, the developer offers unlimited online storage for its users via Zonerama.

No worries mate, I don't really have or use photos so have nothing to really test it with.

I installed the program and have played with it also. Seems to be a good program, does probably more than I'll use. Good find GS.

I got it too... On W8.1 update x64. It installed TWO copies, one 32 bit and one 64 bit on the desktop? No un-install for the 32 bit, only a single un-install which I assume takes out both? I installed it to my TOOLS directory and these are the targets: "K:\Tools\Photo Studio 15\Program32\Zps.exe" "K:\Tools\Photo Studio 15\Program64\Zps.exe" I didn't see anything in the install process that allowed me to choose? The freebee is V15, V16 is out. Major additions as I see it are 'touch' capability and uploads to Facebook, as well as GPS handling if your camera has that capability (mine does but is suck battery life so I've turned it off). I was looking for a reasonable picture editor that would allow me to 'circle' parts rather than draw a circle (I can't and have pictures to PROVE that) around a part of the picture. I've not seen many that do that though if one does even exist. I really didn't see much difference from MS's Paint that is free for the 'casual' user?

CAN NOT, it is 'open'? Huh? It seems starting the x64 version made the ZPSTray file in Progam32 run (for updates I think). Stopped that process and then deleted the Program32 folder. Ran the x64 version and it seems to work OK? Why the waste of disk space (I assume if on a 32 bit system it will not install the 64 bit program)?

GS, you are correct. On a 32bit system (like mine) it only installs the 32bit version.

Mike, tried a few. PhotoPosPro thinks I'm on W7 (I'm on W8.1 update), tried to install a 'search protect', and even though I installed ver 1.9, it wanted to install a 'new version, 1.89' Another one I tried to get McAfee warned me the d/l site was not a good one. Some of them I had or have... What I'm REALLY looking for is one that will put a circle on the picture (any color I want) and I can edit it and change its shape and size (a box as well too). I've not seen one yet? You know of one?

What exactly do you mean by this Irv? Surely layers would allow you to do this.

Yes, if I had PhotoShop. There are 'substitute' photo programs with much of the same features, but I really want a simple one, click and icon, expand to size and shape with the width and color pre-selected. Too many have 'freehand' brush/pen drawing which works but isn't a smooth shape. I'm looking for a simple tool, you know like a hammer, but I how a jack hammer will do the same thing and more, but I just need a hammer.

Gotcha Irv. Mike did list Photoshop CS2 in above link it's freeware. At least knowing what you want, someone here might know of something that will fit your needs. Maybe Sarah when she checks in.
