They'd have to redesign that car Rick. SAAB had a similar problem with their 92001 Snow would build up between the wheel and body work meaning braking was pointless as the car just couldn't stop.

GuiltySpark,
That's interesting.
If you toured the complete site, you'll see that the company is already setup, factory and all, to produce the vehicles for around $7300 per unit.
In fact, they are advertising all over TV during Prime Time.
Over here, $7300 is nothing. (LOL) (LOL)
$7300 is about equal to the price of (3) iPhone 7s.
Chevrolet wants around $72,000 for a standard Suburban Model vehicle so I'm just dreaming when I price out conventional autos.
I bought a new fully loaded automated Toyota Camry Sedan for my wife 6 months ago after I burned up her old one but really I prefer the huge "Big V8" 4WD SUVs like the government uses.

As long as they're sold to folk in arid regions it should be fine but those in snow and ice are going to be suing at some point, I'd lay money on it.
I take it you don't have any 4x4 tax like we have over here, mind you, I've heard petrol(gas) is dirt cheap out there.

Conservative Party here doesn't raise gas taxes for any road infrastructure maintenance therefore Americans purchase many 4 wheel drive vehicles just to get around.
Personally, I keep a 25 year old 4 wheel drive pickup in good repair just to insure I can get to the VA Hospital in Nashville during a time of emergency. The floor board and wheel wells are rusted out but it will get one where they want to go for sure !!
With its makeshift I-beam bumper, it has the V8 power to push small stalled cars out of way if need be.
