Last night I started calling old friends, and they have agreed to spread the word of tgigeeks on their sites. They are, www.guzzioverland.co.uk/www.motoguzziclub.co.uk/And all for free :) Both sites are read globally. I will continue my quest in this, and if any of you could do the same, that would be great :)

Is the url short and memorable enough...wouldn't tgigeeks.net, tgigeekes.org or tgigeeks.com be better?.
Have you submitted to the major search engines? Once you've sorted out the that and the metadata and tagged search terms it would help the rankings if everyone routinely used the search engines to search for the site rather than going straight there with a link. It wouldn't take long because the name is just someones username as far as I can see at the top so there will be no competition from other sites.
Brainstorming a suitable list of site tags might be a good idea so when people Google for computer help the keywords hopefully match Google/Yahoo/Bing's search algorithms.

Tony hi,
I am looking at seo options, trouble we find is the word 'geeks / geek' in any search. The / our rankings will be based on honesty and the site reputation in general. I do remember a time where you could metatag in google ranking at that time (2003)that is now gone and I understand why. It was pretty push and plug. Tags are important, but we are only 4 days old. It is with your support and comments that this new forum moves forward

Right-oh Mike
If anything else comes to mind I'll mention it.
How is 'honesty' measured, do you know?

I would think that until there is 'serious' content here, Internet Searches will not show this place, and you need content for what you want to do, chicken and egg situation at best. Having a set of forums is good, but with no content in them, might miss a lot of chances to be 'seen'. On thing I'd do is create more sub-forums. Windows Help is nice, but why not a sub-forum for XP, VISTA, W7 and W8? You could even go lower in each, BOOT PROBLEM, VIDEO PROBLEMS, NETWORK PROBLEMS, INPUT PROBLEMS, etc. Same goes for all main topics. Only problem it gets so 'disconnected' and can be confusing to some. For instance look at this forum, only for W8, windows8forums.com/. Not really advocating a W8 FORUM should look like that, but it is easier to possibly locate something that interests you.
