I believe I have the fbi virus and I have been trying to understand exactly what that is and what to do to eradicate it. Have SAS and doesn't seem to be getting the job done.

This computer came with McAfee on it already. I just set this computer up last week and had SAS on my previous one, so I downloaded a trial version while I decided if I wanted to keep that program or buy a new, better one. Also had Titanium and Webroot on the other computer. I believe I had seen this message once on that computer also. I told my roommate not to screw up my computer b/c I had not put on spyware and not yet added a password to get logged on. I can see by the history that was not followed. I was here 2 days ago when it popped up and so I just unplugged it until I figured out what to do about it and what exactly it was. Yesterday I went to the site fbivirus.net and it seemed to take over every window I was using at the time. Again, just unplugged b/c it acted possessed. So nothing except those... to answer the question

I don't use W8 here, so have you tried restoring to a time before the problem happened?

To restore your PC to an earlier point in time
1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search. (If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, and then click Search.)
2. Enter Control Panel in the search box, and tap or click Control Panel.
3. Enter Recovery in the Control Panel search box, and then tap or click Recovery.
4. Tap or click Open System Restore, and then follow the instructions.
