Google has launched a new anti-phishing tool which alerts the user every time their password is typed into a non-Google site.
Password Alert is a Chrome extension designed to raise awareness when a potential phishing attack is attempting to enter a Google password in a non-Google site, in turn discouraging users from using the same password for multiple sites
The extension can be downloaded from the Chrome Web Store, and once selected it asks the user to agree to Password Alert reading and changing all a user's data on visited websites, and knowing their chosen email address.
It works by checking the HTML of each page you visit to see if it’s impersonating a Google sign-in page. Around 20 per cent of hijacked accounts are accessed within half an hour of the hacker obtaining a user's login details, research from Google has found. Article>>>>>

I'd be interested to know if and how that works with 'Tab Nabbing' techniques.
