I just installed a 64GB SSD in this machine, and everywhere you look it says it's 70.74GB? People normally have the inverse problem. Wot's goin' on?

OK, what make and model of the SSD? SATA II or III or on a PCI bus? Is one place you look at it in Disk Management? Only possibility is the SSD is larger because of extra storage places and it is reporting those as well? Usually these are 'reserved' and not reported. Could be a firmware bug? Along with the make and model are you on the lastest flash? Did you FORMAT it or was it already formatted?

I've never seen ANY drive report MORE than that which is available! Irv is correct, a 64gb SSD would be showing around 59gb usable.
Make and model of the drive would help.
Disk management screenshot would be helpful too, but what does it show in Partition Wizard? This is quite accurate to show real time space.
Some SSDs (WD) may come with software to format, setup and backup etc, perhaps you'd see that in PW better than DM in windows. If a folder is there copy it and then format the drive
