Norton isn't a top consumer program anymore so it was removed from the testing some time back. MalwareBytes isn't an Internet Suite.
MSE is pre-installed on machines and as such automatically becomes the base line no matter how good or bad it does.
Many people are advanced users and only use and trust certain sites so MSE is what they are happy with.

I've never been a fan of Norton or McAfee A/vs MSE on my main PC windows 7 and Defender on this machine are both disabled. For a while I have been using this recommended to me by LH: www.secureaplus.com/Main/index.phpAlso running BullGuard on a years free use which came with this machine. What I find good with Bullguard is the email alert for spam or possible malware loaded stuff. But at £50 a year does seem a bit steep but it can be installed on 3 PCs. Advanced users usually run a reasonable A/v plus SAS pro and Malwarebytes. Iv'e yet to have a virus but then I know where I'm going....I think!
