I have had a cellular phone since 1990, in those days it merely made a call and recieved one (if you were 25 miles within the M25 ring motorway, London). No 'text' or 'MMS', just a bloody handheld set weighing in at haversack level and the dosh to purchase and 'run' the thingummy gadget. For business at the time I thought let's go for it. I really saw it merely as an extension for my business at the time. Goodness gracious me, my great auntie Ada, a medium, had passed on by then and never elected to prophesise the end event. The end event of course is the phones we have and use today, call, text, mail and Internet, not necessarily in that order. The cell phone now is not a 'mobile phone' but a tablet, a miniature of our miniscule lives. It extends from our home, work and 'social media'; lads of people 'tapping away at screens'. Pretty effing boring to say the least unless you are actuall doing some 'work'. In effect the Cell phone has become a 'smartphone'. Fine, to a point. So why do the users of said smartphones sit at them all bloody day tapping and thumbing their social networks, Facebook, Twitter and all the rest of the useless sites they need to receive or share then all of a sudden when the bloody talking brooch actually rings they become immediately active and then do the 'walkabout' with the telephonic communication device almost worn as an earring superglued to the said earhole. WHY does this happen? A call is either made or received but the user insists doing the rounds of the bar, the side street walking in circles as he speaks to the other party. Just like the old days? Any comments? Funny old world!
