Facinating stuff... No way could I get some of those back together, but having five brothers I was taught by them, to always find out how things worked, particularly our bicycles, so I could mend them myself, and not bother them P.S i posted your' friends' as i thought was really appropriate for here........

LOL GS We used to strip down cassette deck mechanisms and that could be fun putting them back together again. My Vienna Regulator clock is in for repair with our local clock repairer. Whenever I go there, there are clock mechs. stripped right down as in the BBC pictures. I asked Stella who I know well, "ever find a bit left over" She is a fifth generation clock repairer in her family. I could work there for nothing as she gets some fascinating clocks in for repair. Ted PS Kate I am not sure what (posted to your friends mean) Sorry Ted

I can remember putting together MFI furniture when asked to do so as builder many years ago. Always screws / panels left over. And the construction / distruction sheet that came with the rubbish 'furniture' was laughable!
WHAT! We got friends here! Perish the thought.................

I think if I took the things apart, I could put them back together. But, just a box of parts probably not.
