I understand that a lot of people use facebook or twitter. Proboards links to both. Some tv stations have: contact channel@.....
I know so little about facebook. I do not have a facebook or twitter account. I am interested in learning more about those sites. Hence,my question. Do facebook's and twitter's rules or polices say that a person who creates an account has to use their real identity, such as their first and last name and other personal information?

I don't use FB or Twitter but am pretty sure you can register as whoever or whatever you please as long as it doesn't contravene Copyright laws, for example: You could call yourself 'Booker T. Face' or maybe 'BookFace', but you couldn't call yourself 'FaceBook' (BookFace may be stretching it a little, you would have to check their T&C/ToS). Same goes for Twitter, just watch out for Copyright. But wait til others come on board as some members here do use those and will be able to advise you better.

I occasionally use Facebook but not twitter. Maybe this will help you too. Rules are changed at times. I don't post any personal info there. Including birthday, where you work, schools, etc. That's just me, many post everything about their life. www.facebook.com/help/
