Kate that is an unsafe download and you don't need it. It is not a good app for your needs at all. is the WOT warning. A .csv file can be read in any spreadsheet, it is merely a comma separated value. Nearly all files can be opened in windows, given the correct direction. If you need further help, email or PM and will point the way. I am assuming that this is a bank statement or thereabouts Mike

CSV is nothing more than a file containing COMMA SEPARATED VARIABLES. You should be able to open it via NOTEPAD or even use XCEL or another program that accepts CSV to be able to read it.

Kate. When I went to that site, it instantly started a direct download. My AV (Avira) did not like it one bit.

To all and clarify Kate's request. To download Kate's request, the installer was Install IQ a variant installiq, an addin /on which we don't require, that I find offensive. The download is specifically the iq before you go ahead with the download, more junk. This sort of download bundling is now becoming so common; Cnet for some while but now Sourceforge. Disgraceful all round! MS does have an Excel Viewer for download free: www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=10Mike

Many of those appear to 'sneak' the extra stuff in. That is there is a CHECK MARK and if you are not vigilant and turn it off, you get the junk. Others hide that 'opt-out' under Advanced.
I usually wind up un-installing the 'extra crap' and the app that brought it in too!
One other 'sneaky' one I found. Program was free, but during the install I see a sentence that states it is being brought to you by another app or two that are NOT free. Press OK and it installs a TRIAL for those two first and then the FREE app... poof, they are all removed immediately after install.
I don't begrudge the developers trying to get 'paid', just the way they go about it, it is annoying to say the least.
