THIS IS FOR INFORMATION ONLY Only mess if you know what you are doing!! Ordinarily Group Policy Editor(gpedit.msc)is only available in 7 Pro, Ultimate and Enterprise Editions. gpedit.msc is very useful if you want to lockdown certain aspects of your machine or make admin changes to control your machine. There is a 3rd party app that invokes the GPE and I post the link and the d/l link. Article here: www.askvg.com/how-to-enable-group-policy-editor-gpedit-msc-in-windows-7-home-premium-home-basic-and-starter-editions/Download the installer from the link. Follow the instructions but also note> NOTE 1: For Windows 7 64-bit (x64) users! You'll also need to go to "SysWOW64" folder present in "C:\Windows" folder and copy "GroupPolicy", "GroupPolicyUsers" folders and gpedit.msc file from there and paste them in "C:\Windows\System32" folder. There is a d/l link to enable the GPedit function and it works in 7 home. Can I just say, use with caution, this is quite powerful and could eff much on your complicator if misused.
