Our members will post their ideas or recommendations here. If you have any questions regarding registry 'tweaks', ask here. Our resident registry expert is LH (Lighthouse), who would be happy to advise. I'm looking for ONE specific 'Registry' *hint*. I've got a few games on my computer, my wife, probably 100's. Almost ALL games use the registry to both hold scores AND the license. However they are HIDDEN in that many times you can't associate and key back to a program (and why CLEANER's tend to cause all sorts of problems for some games when they delete objects can they can't determine are valid). In some cases I've been lucky, I've found the high scores but they are NOT HEX or any other easily understood number. I'm NOT looking to 'break' the game or license, basically I have TWO reasons. 1) New computer, I can always get the games via d/l again from the purchased list on GAMEHOUSE or BIG FISH, but I have to start over again. All progress is lost. True, in most cases in the Registry one can find the game name of like this: If I search for 'black rainbow' I can find 2 others, but even then, hard to tell what they are: First is probably the audio settings, but the last one, who knows... In the past I've had NO luck just getting all the 'named' Registry entries and putting them on a new machine. Generally lose the license (I know how to re-do that), but always the progress/score. 2) On the RARE occasions I want to restore my system to an earlier date I lose all progress. If I could find the Registry entries and save those and restore them I'd be a happy camper. I've tried a lot of programs on the web that claim to same games, but none that work reliably or at all for me.
