HHDs and flash drives have certainly come down significantly over the last 12 months in the UK for sure. I assume the US has similar deals, so keep your eyes peeled!! And there are many reasons for this, not the generosity of the HDD manufactures! Many users are now opting to Boot using an SSD (and those prices are coming down) for faster boot times and local data access. In many cases users are opting for a minimum of 120gb then 240gb SSD. This does restrict the amount of space for your C drive taking the OS, Office and many other much needed apps into consideration. However, it really is data that eats up HHD space (not just our docs, excel or old small pic files). Modern systems we have consist of massive file, your treasured music library, pics and video etc. We have learned over the years that we must back up our data on a more regular basis than we ever did before. If you update your old HDD to and SSD remember you can still use your old spinner as a backup location in addition to existing drives. In a laptop, you just caddy the old HHD in the CD drive, in a tower you may have the option to add the old HDD to a spare bay for instance. For your delectaton; There are some amazing deals on cheap hard drives coming up this Christmas. Thanks to TechradarNews>>>>>
