I will disable 'add image to post' Thanks Neil I don't know if anyone else uses it to be honest Mike, I'm sure someone might do at some point (I know I used to a lot) but now there are so many options.... We can always bring it back if needed

If it's not costing anything extra, why not just leave it there?

If it's not costing anything extra, why not just leave it there? Yeah, I'd rather have the ability to place a capture in-line that at the end. Especially if I am doing more than one and explaining each one in a paragraph before the next capture.

Ah, I see the point.... add attachment is not that intuitive on this board. I will disable 'add image to post' Thanks Neil OK, found another site, car dealer, that has the same problem. Not the same way though. I was looking at the car inventory and for cars they will open a new windows and show the sticker. That does it. I think I isolated it to a specific add-on. Foxbleed 0.1 is it it seems. Can see more HERE. I disabled ALL Add-ons and it didn't happen. Added them back in one by one and tried the site load for the window sticker and it came on once that one was enabled. Slightly different results too, this time in the front of the tab bar, below it, and one on some tabs? Changes as I move the mouse over the tabs too. See attached. Person who created it didn't seen to be Oriental, surprised that is shows those characters. Hmm, it seems I can place it in-line? I googled the problem, many others have it with different reasons given: support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1035523 <-- McAfee site Advisor which I did NOT disable, but the problem appeared once I enabled FoxBleed? support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1034701bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1108296Really a hit or miss situation.

irvspHave you tried those add-ons with Pale Moon just to see if the issue is a conflict in Mozilla's build only? Could be an interesting job in narrowing the problem down and comparing where the difference is (if any).

irvspHave you tried those add-ons with Pale Moon just to see if the issue is a conflict in Mozilla's build only? Could be an interesting job in narrowing the problem down and comparing where the difference is (if any). Nope, have not and haven't installed and 'extra' browser's other than FF. It turned out I had 2 Heart Bleed Add-on's. One I'm now using is Heartbleed-Ext 3.0. Like I said, from the links above McAfee (which I have) many thought was the problem. Once I disabled the other Heart Bleed Add-on I've not seen the problem again, and McAfee Site Advisor IS enabled. I suspect there is some interaction between possibly the 3 of them, FF, McAfee, and that specific Heart Bleed (FoxBleed 0.1). However don't forget this all started with the FF update before the latest, so some code change within FF or possibly a McAfee update would be the cause. Funny thing is that I have NEVER seen any warning about any site...

Most sites Apache servers were patched so you shouldn't see anything anymore. Plus most if not all browsers were setup to use TLS 1.0 as default, so you shouldn't even be able to access sites running on non-patched servers. Although TLS 1.0 isn't perfect by any means.

Most sites Apache servers were patched so you shouldn't see anything anymore. True, but it can still happen. Add-on doesn't seem to consume too much in terms of using the browser. I know one can be over cautious too, to the point of overloading stuff. I'm going crazy over my Router logs now. I keep getting some devices appearing in the Network on W8.1, always a Phone... I have a Bluetooth device and I even disabled that (not showing above). I have the router to ONLY allow allowed devices. Nothing in the log of the router showing it is connecting either? Even trying too. Usually within minutes it will disappear. Almost makes me think it is a random car passing my house? The router is a Netgear R7000 and I've posted in their forum about this an no one else sees this happen?

Not sure about that one irvsp but if you have an android device you could check out Fing to see if it shows up again as it may give more info.

No, don't but I do have a Samsung phone and it NEVER shows up? Usually it is either an Android or Motorola, right now a Huawei Y301A1. If I retry the network it usually will disappear. My Router has an Access Control list when I've enabled it (I have) and a blocked list. Nothing showing on the Blocked list or the Router log for and IP assigned to a device I don't know or an attempt to connect to the router? Odd? Also I enabled BlueTooth now. It shows nothing connected? I suspect some sort of Win8.1 problem but I've googled this and found nothing on the web like this? Oh, I think I should look at my wife's machine (when its on tomorrow) and see if it shows there? I may start in SAFE MODE too... See, just talking about this brings me ideas!

I've not seen that before in any browser, very odd. BTW, I use Rightload>>>>> to add images here but you can also use the add attachment button, top right, in reply mode as Neil pointed out above. Irv, good luck with your 'quest' be interesting to see the findings!

Irv, good luck with your 'quest' be interesting to see the findings! OK, I have gotten further I think? It appears for SOME reason Virtual Hosted Network is ON? Blurred is my actual Dell Service Number. Suspect for some reason Dell turns it on by default OR it happened when they were on the system looking at it when I had a problem initially? I don't even KNOW the P/W? ================= netsh wlan>show settings Wireless LAN settings --------------------- Show blocked networks in visible network list: No Only use GP profiles on GP-configured networks: No Hosted network mode allowed in WLAN service: Yes Allow shared user credentials for network authentication: Yes Block period: Not Configured. ================== I can turn it off ( www.7tutorials.com/how-disable-virtual-wifi-network-adapter-windows-81) but WHY was it on to start with? Checked wife's system. Her system sees the same phone immediately? Go to my computer and the Network doesn't see it? Back to her's, it is gone? Her system has the Virtual Hosted Network set up almost the same, her UID is the computer name, not the service number (both are Dell's). Both show the Hosted Network is NOT active? Me thinks this is a W8 bug or something possibly due to some Dell code? The above link shows how to turn it off but I wonder WHY it is on, on both computers no less? Both have been connected to Dell though? On both computers though I can't see the Connection in Network and Sharing Center or the Adapter list? Before I much with this, anyone with a W8 or W7 system please check and see if that Virtual Hosted Network is 'on'? Even though it is 'there' it is NOT available on both systems? I found THIS which lists the commands to the Virtual Host Network and it sort of implies a START is needed to use it? THIS ONE had more about it but I can't find the adapter either? NOTE: Wife's computer using Wireless AC card (866Mbps) while mine does have a wireless card disabled I am using a wired connection and the wireless card IS disabled.

Irv, good luck with your 'quest' be interesting to see the findings! More I found... It appears it isn't only me? SEE HERE but read ALL the pages (some people were banned???). Very similar and old too... Some phone names the same I've seen here? NO RESOLUTION though? ANOTHER ONE with 5 pages... interestingly a Virgin Router like the link above? There IS a Mar. 5, 2013 on page 2 entry that 'claims' MS knows about this bug? Last page is from Nov. 2014 and sort of indicates the Router is causing this? ========== hi , i've the same problem with win 8.1 pro 64 bit and router Netgear dgn2200v4. i have tried almost everythink (settings, upgrading and downgrading firmware devices,..... ) without fortune, BUT FINALLY NOW I FOUND A SIMPLEST SOLUTION: I HAVE REPLACED THE NETGEAR DGN 2200V4 WITH AN "OLD" MODEM connected with AN "OLD" ROUTER AND I'VE FIXED THE ISSUE. The modem is NETGEAR DN111P and the router is NETGEAR WGR614 v9. =========== Hmm, Netgear huh? Oh, I have WPS off too. Now what is odd is that I'm wired even though I have a DISABLED Wireless card in the computer. Wife had 2 wireless cards, only one enabled. inSSIDER shows other networks near us but I can't find a program that shows CLIENTS nearby? I seriously doubt these are clients hunting for a network LAN connection so they don't need to use cellular? We're in single family homes and the router is at the rear west side of me home. My neighbor to the west I could surely pick-up his devices, but I can't even use my iPad outside my home on the east side or the front of my driveway. Doubt a random car going by causing this unless its signal is very strong to reach the router but how could it see my SSID (if it needs to see it in 'hunting' mode)? I can find no creditable link that clearly shows MS knows this is a problem? Grrrr....
